Experience in a similar role would be highly regarded but is not essential.
About the Role
This is a highly vital role within our team. The focus of the Assistant Service Manager is our wonderful team and our wonderful customers, providing excellent customer service at every interaction.
The Assistant Service Manager will also oversee the daily activities of the Service department and plan the team accordingly while carrying out a range of duties related to being the key contact between the customer and the dealership, for the repair and maintenance of vehicles, including but not limited to, meeting and greeting customers, taking enquires and service bookings, writing up repair orders, keeping customers up to date with vehicle progress and organizing courtesy cars. The Assistant Service Manager will be the mentor, the trainer and the person who is a leader in process.
Some of your daily activities will include:
- Co-ordinate the daily activities of the Service Advisor Team and plan the team accordingly
- Taking enquiries and service bookings from a range of customers
- Maintaining regular contact with customers to provide updates on their cars
- Liaising with the workshop controller to ensure that jobs are completed efficiently
- Achieve and exceed department targets
- Plan daily activities of the department
- Liaise with other dealer departments
- Take ownership of the customer experience
- Act as a mentor for the Service team members
- Assist Senior Management with dealer projects.

We're seeking an energetic individual with a can-do positive attitude to join a team of passionate Toyota-trained professionals. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to establish yourself within Australia's leading automotive brand. You will be joining the Dubbo City Toyota team on a permanent, on-going basis, primarily responsible for fitting Toyota vehicles with Genuine Accessories.
What you'll be doing
- Performing quality installation of Toyota Genuine Accessories
- Performing quality Pre-Delivery inspections as per factory guidelines
- Safe maneuvering of vehicles in and around the workshop and Dealership
- Ensuring commitment and compliance to WH&S
Your skills and experience
- A current NSW Driver's Licence
- Qualifications in either Automotive Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade
- 3+ years' experience fitting suspension, snorkles, bull bars, winches, auxillary batteries, fuel tanks, towing brake controllers, driving lights
- Forklift Licence preferred
- Proven ability to prioritise in a deadline driven environment to meet productivity and efficiency targets
- Effective problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
